1. What is a learning center?
A learning center is an activity that children can complete individually or in a small group. The activities are meant to reinforce skills being taught in the classroom or at home.

2. What are the benefits of using a learning center?
When children use a learning center they are actively involved in their learning.   They enjoy playing with the activities and often do not even realize they are learning!  As educators, we know that when students “play” with a learning center they are practicing and developing important reading, writing, and spelling skills and growing socially and emotionally.

3. How are learning centers different from worksheets & workbooks?
Learning centers allow children to be engaged in fun learning.  Working within a  small group encourages social interaction and oral language development.  Learning centers also provide practice with real life experiences that require reading and writing.

4. What grade are learning centers for?
You will notice that my learning centers do not have grade levels.   I have done this because I strongly believe that all children learn at their own pace.  This way, teachers and parents can choose a learning center based on the skills their children are working on.

5. How do I incorporate learning centers into my lesson planning?
Pocketful of Center’s learning centers can be used during “literacy center time”, small group time, or independent work time.  Teachers choose learning centers based on the skills that are being taught in the classroom.

6. How much class time do learning centers take?
The amount of time it takes students to complete a center depends on the student.  Most games require anywhere from 10 – 20 minutes to complete. 

7. How much prep time is needed for each Learning Center?
After printing, teacher prep time includes cutting out the pieces, gluing the labels onto the 2-pocket folder, and laminating (if desired).  Once your learning center is finished your prep work is done!  Simply place the center on a table for children to use!

8. What do I receive when I order a learning center?
You will print all of your learning centers on your own printer.  You will print a center sign, labels for a 2-pocket folder, directions, & all game pieces.  You will need to purchase a 2-pocket folder to store your learning center in.

9. Can I see a sample of your learning centers?
Yes.  To see a sample of a center, simply click the thumbnail of the desired learning center.  It will take you to a PDF sample of the center.

10. How do I place an order?
To place an order:
* Click the “add to cart” button of the desired game.  A new window will open from      PayPal with your shopping cart. 
* Continue adding items to your shopping cart.
* When you are finished shopping, click the “proceed to checkout” button on the PayPal shopping cart. 
* Complete your purchase and pay with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, or Paypal through Paypal’s secure site.

11. How do I download the Pocketful of Centers file I purchased when I receive my email?
You will receive an email from keith_pam_ballingall@yahoo.com with the download links.  Click the link next to the words “Downlink”.  On the next page click the link “Download (name of game)” and follow the instructions on your computer.

12.  What do I do if I find a “typo” in a center that I have purchased from Pocketful of Centers?
Pocketful of Centers makes every effort to ensure that our files are free from “typos”! If you happen to find a “typo” in one of our files, please send us an email with the file name and a description of the error. I will correct the error and resend the file to you.   Please email me at pocketfulofcenters@yahoo.com

13. Do I need a PayPal account to make a purchase?
No, you do not need a PayPal account to order from Pocketful of Centers.  We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, as well as PayPal.

14. What do I do if I prefer not to pay with a credit card?
If you would like to pay by check or money order, you may print the order form and mail it to me with a check or money order. As soon as funds have cleared, I will email you your order.

15. Will you be adding more centers?
Pocketful of Centers is continuously creating new centers for you to use in your classroom.  Please check back often for new learning centers!

16.  Will Pocketful of Centers customize a learning center to fit my needs?
I will be glad to customize one of our existing learning centers to suit your needs. All you will need to do is provide me with the skill and grade level you would like a center created for. I will then be able to create the learning center of your choice! There will be an extra charge of $3.00 per game to customize a center.

17. Can I get activities in Microsoft Word instead of PDF?
I only offer learning centers in PDF format.

18. What are your terms and conditions?
By purchasing a center from Pocketful of Centers, you agree to use your purchased center for non-commercial, non-profit classroom use. You may not copy, resell or distribute the center to anyone else. To do so would be a violation of federal and state copyright law.

19.  What is the return policy?
Due to the reproducible nature of Pocketful of Center products, all sales are final.
